Balinese flavors. Brown rice, soaked overnight, cooked in coconut milk with lemon grass, turmeric and leaves (kaffir lime & pandan) from our garden in Manila! So nice i managed to bring some and keep them in the vreezer. Vegetable dish with bean sprouts, blenched carrots, freshly chopped spinach and a Asian sauce with grated coconut, red bell pepper, miso, kaffir leaves and spices. Another small dish/ snack (Rujak): a sauce of tamarind, (pili) nuts, coconut sugar, cayenne and dulse flakes with pineapple, mango and cucumber.
These dishes are all so flavorsome with the scented leaves and spices! Brings back memories from the Asian years?
