With the plums in season and this bit of cooler weather, I made warm plum compote for breakfast.
- Plums or other red fruits (such as berries)
- a bit of lemon juice and lemon zest
- Cinnamon, vanilla bean, star anise, fresh ginger, a bit of himalayan salt, agave syrop (optional)
Just lightly cook the fruit with the spices and sweetener (optional). Nice with some fresh fruits such as berries and home made sprouted buckwheat crunches. Or on a layer of porridge, coconut yoghurt or a nutmilk/chia pudding
